What is Paramedical Skincare?

The term ‘paramedical’ relates to a service that supports medical work and is provided by professionals outside the realm of fully qualified medical doctors. With the booming business of the beauty industry, the savvy consumer, and the abundance of skin issues faced by everyday people, paramedical skincare is a highly sought after and specialised field that moves the skincare industry beyond just pampering, and into a space that treats the skin from beneath and not just on the surface.

A paramedical skin technician is a licensed professional who has acquired more advanced training and experience in the medical and scientific aspects behind the skin to enable them to deliver an appropriate diagnosis. They evaluate skin conditions and provide individualised, result-orientated solution options for clients, and all treatments are designed to remove, rebuild and protect the skin by way of improving skin and cellular function, which can also include pre and post-cosmetic surgery care.

With DMK paramedical skincare, the formulations are strong, complex, and effective, whereby only trained, and licensed paramedical skincare technicians can use them for treatments and prescribe them for home care routines. This differs from prescription medication, which can only be provided through a doctor, and over the counter skincare you can buy at your local shops. Instead, DMK products can only be used after a consultation with a DMK trained skin technician. This ensures that clients don’t cause their skin any trauma with using the wrong product or using a product in the wrong way. It also ensures that clients get the best results since each individual’s prescription and usage instructions will be different.

DMK’s revolutionary products and treatments work with the structure and function of the skin, it doesn’t just treat the surface. This exciting skincare system is based on the principle that cells of the skin respond positively to the chemistry they recognise. Unlike many over-the-counter skincare programs, DMK treatments and products work with the skin, rather than merely acting on it. In order to generate long-lasting results, we have to ensure that the skin is functioning optimally, this is where our paramedical treatments excel. They are designed to trigger a response from the skin, and create healthier, fuller, more lively skin for the years to come.
DMK paramedical skin revision is a collection of successful products and treatments that have been developed by DMK scientists to address skin conditions such as severe acne, deep wrinkles or stubborn pigmentation and scarring. They are based on a natural healing approach using various modalities and botanical chemistry to restore skin functionality.

The essence of DMK paramedical skin revision is to refine the skin through the removal of dead skin cells and the rebuilding of the skin’s functionality.

How Enzyme Therapy Works

How Enzyme Therapy Works

How Enzyme Therapy Works

DMK’s powerful Enzyme Therapy treatment is vital for restoring and maintaining skin health, and can be used alongside any other skin revision treatment. It’s able to treat:

  • Aging, and to prevent aging
  • Sun-damaged skin
  • Wrinkles, lines, or sagging skin anywhere on the body
  • All types of acne, congested skin, oily, dry or combination skin
  • Hyperpigmentation, uneven skin tone
  • Rosacea, psoriasis, spider veins, bruises, and wound healing
  • Cellulite, and stretch marks

Most skin conditions, like the ones mentioned above, result from loss of function or imbalance in the skin. Our Enzyme masks are designed to strengthen the underlying structure of the skin by restoring the chemical balance and normalizing the body’s natural processes.

This treatment turns dead skin cells into a weak acid and flushes them from the skin. It creates a back flushing action called Reverse Osmosis which clears cell debris, removes toxins, oxidised waste and free radicals. It increases oxygenation, cell metabolism and immune functions by stimulating blood flow and lymph circulation. This process also stimulates amino acids proline, glycine and lysine to enhance the production of collagen.

Within 45 minutes of applying DMK masques, reverse osmosis occurs, forcing fluids through the cell wall membrane into the matrix to remove impurities. The result is a clean cell and surrounding matrix, creating a perfect, healthy environment for new cells to thrive in.

Your client will experience sensations such as itching and then a regular pulsing as their own body temperature helps to activate the enzymatic action within the skin. This causes the capillaries to dilate and stand out like a roadmap, which shows on the surface of the skin. This is known as Plasmatic Action or the Plasmatic Effect which disappears after some time (usually within a few hours).

Plasmatic action flushes out clogged capillaries, and strengthens the veins that supply oxygen and nutrients which are then taken up by the mitochondria of the skin cells. Mitochondria act like battery packs for the cells, supplying energy to keep them alive. Without vital oxygen and nutrients, the mitochondria malfunctions and the cell dies.

The Plasmatic Effect indicates a successful treatment and that the extracellular fluids are equalised. Extracellular fluids that are too low or too high are the cause of unhealthy, inflamed or toxic skin. Another effect of enzyme therapy is that it stimulates the facial muscles to involuntarily move and contract of their own accord. This strengthens the muscles which results in firmer, tighter skin while improving its structure.

DMK Enzyme Masques

There are three formulations used in Enzyme Therapy, namely DMK Enzyme Masque #1, #2 and #3. These formulations are designed for professional, in salon, use only and to be applied by trained DMK technicians

They are formulated with proteins RNA, L-Lysine and Proline and other ingredients which penetrate the skin, while tightening and contracting the capillaries.

ENZYME MASQUE #1 is a blend of enzymes that hydrolyze dead cell material, debris and impurities from the skin while increasing oxygenation

ENZYME MASQUE #2 works as a muscle contractor that focuses on strengthening the muscle structure of the skin

ENZYME MASQUE #3 works in conjunction with ENZYME MASQUE #2 to intensify its action. It generates chemical heat which advances the enzyme activity of ENZYME MASQUE #2. It is designed for weakened skin to kick start the vital processes of the skin.
